What Are Notifications?
Notifications keep you updated on your automated DeFi positions without requiring you to constantly check the dashboard. Get alerts when your agents make moves, rates change, or your positions need attention.
Available when you have:
✅ Connected wallet
✅ Authenticated (signed in)
✅ Deployed Safe wallet
Notification Channels
Ratehopper offers two notification channels to keep you informed:
1. Email Notifications 📧
Receive updates directly to your inbox about position changes and important events.
2. Telegram Notifications 💬
Get real-time alerts on Telegram for instant mobile notifications about your automated positions.

Position Updates:
Agent executed a rate switch
New position created
Position closed or modified

How to Set Up
Step 1: Navigate to Notifications
Go to your Dashboard
Scroll down to the "Notifications" section
You'll see the "Stay Updated" card on the left
Step 2: Enter Your Email
In the "Email Address" field, enter your email
Click "Register Email" button
Wait for confirmation message
Step 3: Verify Registration
You'll see "Email registered successfully!" message
Your email is now saved
Notifications will start immediately
Managing Your Email
Update Email:
Enter a new email address in the field
Click "Register Email" again
New email replaces the old one
Email Already Registered:
If you've registered before, your email will appear pre-filled
You can update it anytime
No need to verify via email link

How to Set Up
Step 1: Navigate to Notifications
Go to your Dashboard
Scroll to "Notifications" section
Find "Telegram Notifications" card on the right
Step 2: Connect Your Telegram
You'll see a blue Telegram login button
Click the button
A Telegram authorization popup will open
Step 3: Authorize RateHopper
In the Telegram popup, click "Accept"
You may need to confirm on your Telegram app (mobile/desktop)
Authorization completes automatically
Step 4: Confirmation
The page will update showing "✓ Telegram Linked Successfully!"
Your Telegram ID will be displayed
You're now connected!
Step 5: Find the Bot
Open Telegram
Search for @RateHopperAgentBot
Start a conversation with /start
Bot will confirm you're linked and ready

Troubleshooting Connection: If you see "Failed to link Telegram":
Click the "Retry" button
Make sure you completed authorization in Telegram
Check that you accepted the bot permissions
Try refreshing the page
Contact support if issue persists

Not Receiving Emails:

Q: Can I turn off notifications? A: Yes! Simply don't register an email or connect Telegram. You can also manage settings via Telegram bot commands.
Q: Are notifications free? A: Yes, all notifications are completely free. No hidden fees.
Q: How quickly are Telegram notifications sent? A: Instant! Typically within 1-3 seconds of an event occurring.
Q: Can I use the same email for multiple wallets? A: Each wallet/user account has its own email setting. You can use the same email for multiple accounts if you want consolidated notifications.
Q: What if I change my Telegram account? A: Contact support to unlink your old account, then connect the new one through the dashboard.
Q: Do I need both email and Telegram? A: No, either one is fine. But we recommend both - Telegram for instant alerts, email for detailed reports.
Q: Can I customize which events trigger notifications? A: Currently, you receive notifications for all important events. Custom filtering coming soon! Use Telegram bot /settings for some control.
Q: What if I'm getting too many notifications? A: Use Telegram /quiet command for temporary pause, or adjust your automation threshold settings so agents only switch for meaningful rate improvements.
Q: Are notifications secure? A: Yes! We never include private keys or sensitive security information. Position amounts are included to be helpful, but no data that could compromise your account.
Q: Can I get notifications in different languages? A: Currently English only. Multi-language support planned for future.
